App Store release in preparation for iPhone and Mac.
Turn the food and drink videos you save into a private recipe library. Choose your Instagram Saved collections on Mac. Read captions, follow recipe links, transcribe narration, and analyze sampled frames to create food recipes and cocktails.
From a saved video to a recipe card.
- Choose your collections. Select the folders you want, then process all eligible posts or choose individual saves.
- Build your library on Mac. Previously handled posts are skipped. Automatic checks find new videos while the Mac app is running.
- Make it on iPhone. Search, sort, follow steps, edit details, save favorites, and return to the original source.
Private iCloud sync.
Both apps use the same private iCloud library. Real video thumbnails help you recognize recipes. Previously loaded recipes remain readable offline, and edits wait locally until they can upload. Your Mac can be off once recipes are uploaded.
30 free imports. Choose your plan when you need more.
Your first 30 successful recipe imports are free, once per private iCloud library. No payment starts automatically. Duplicates, failed scans, and non-recipe posts do not use the allowance.
- Monthly Plus: US$2.00 per month, billed monthly.
- Yearly Plus: US$20.00 per year, billed once per year.
Both plans unlock unlimited further imports and work on Mac and iPhone with the same App Store account. Local AI has no API charge. Optional OpenAI usage is billed separately using your own key. Your existing recipes and iCloud sync remain available if you do not subscribe or your subscription ends.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple handles payment, localized prices, and subscription management. Restore purchases from the app. Availability is limited to the United States and Canada.

What you need.
Use the same iCloud account on Mac and iPhone. New imports require the app on an Apple Silicon Mac, an Instagram account with saved collections, an internet connection, and iCloud. Choose downloaded local Whisper and Qwen models without an API key, or optional OpenAI processing using your own key. Select English-only or multilingual narration. OpenAI charges separately; a ChatGPT subscription does not provide API credits.
Saved access uses an unofficial connector and may be interrupted by Instagram login challenges or service changes. Saved & Stirred is independent and is not affiliated with Instagram or OpenAI. Review missing quantities and source evidence before making a recipe.
