What to include.
Tell us whether you are using the iPhone or Mac app, your device model, system version, and app version. Describe what happened and how to reproduce it. A screenshot of the issue can help. Do not send passwords, API keys, Instagram session files, or unrelated private information.
Importing from Instagram.
On your Apple Silicon Mac, save your Instagram username and AI mode in Settings, then sign in. Local mode needs downloaded Whisper and Qwen models and no API key. Optional OpenAI mode uses your own API key. Choose English-only or multilingual narration. Open Saved Instagram, select your actual collections, and choose Use Selected Collections. Process All checks every selected-folder page. Previously handled posts are skipped; failed posts can be selected explicitly to retry. Complete Instagram security challenges in Instagram itself before signing in again here.
Seeing recipes on iPhone.
Use the same iCloud account on both devices. Wait for the Mac's pending uploads to finish, then pull down on the iPhone library to refresh. Refresh checks iCloud; it does not wake the Mac or start imports. If no recipes are uploaded, the iPhone shows an empty library.
Duplicates, missing details, and covers.
The same Instagram post is processed once across your selected collections. Reposted content with a different post ID is a separate post. An unavailable thumbnail does not remove the recipe. Missing or conflicting quantities are marked for review; inspect the source evidence and original post before making it.
Privacy and removing data.
Stop automatic checks or sign out of Instagram on Mac to stop new imports. Signing out does not delete recipes already in iCloud. Removing the app does not automatically delete its iCloud data. Contact support for help removing your library, caches, or import history. The app currently has no recipe-deletion control.
